Week 10 Consensus Staff Rankings November 5, 2013  |  Jeff

rsz_jimmWelcome to The Fake Football’s Week 10 Staff Rankings. Be sure to check in throughout the week, as plenty of injury news will likely be released before games kickoff. This week, our Browns, Chiefs, Patriots and Jets are all on bye which basically boils down to no Josh Gordon, no Jamaal Charles and no Gronk. What are we to do with no Gronk!?! Anyhoo, as always, feel free to leave those lineup questions in the comments section below. Good luck in Week 10!

would you advise picking up Pitta, Manningham or Burleson as a potential difference maker?

  2. platypus says:

Is adding Manningham, Burleson or Pitta off the WW a potential difference maker?

    • Jeff says:

Pitta, Burleson, Manningham is how I would rank them in terms of possible difference making down the stretch. None are guarantees but I would think about Pitta/Burleson if I had space.

  3. wile e says:

My RBs are Reggie Bush, J. Bell, L.Bell, Z. Stacy and S Greene. My WRs are Dez, Josh Gordon, and Cecil Shorts. My TEs are Gronk and J.Reed.

I am currently targeting V. Cruz. Should I trade Z.Stacy straight up for Cruz, or offer the package of L. Bell + S.Shorts instead?

  4. Team SULS says:

Hey Jeff, I’m in a 4 way tie for 4th right now with a 4-5 record in a PPR league. And hopefully picking up E. Sanders on waivers; since I have Royal, Jackson (WRs)and Baldwin (Flex), a restructuring could be on the horizon for this sunday’s starting lineup. Thoughts? Thanks!

    • Jeff says:

I would play him over Royal. I am assuming that is Desean Jackson, so leave him in there and Baldwin at flex. That is what I would roll with.

  5. David says:

Drop Deangelo For Sproles? My Handcuffed Foster And Tate May Not Work This Week.

    • Jeff says:

      Ya, I would snag Sproles

Been offered V. Cruz for Z. Stacy in 0.5PPR. Do it?

    • Jeff says:

This really depends on the structure of your roster but if you need an WR and have extra RB depth, go for it, it looks fine to me.

  7. Andy says:

Can I trust Jordy this week with Seneca Wallace throwing the ball? I got screwed big time last week. I have him in my flex right now. PPR…my other options would be Marlon Brown, Lamar Miller, Michael Floyd, or Ben Tate. Garrett Graham and Mike Brown on waiver wire too.

Also, do I start Romo or Foles this week?

    • Jeff says:

Start Romo at QB this week and I think Jordy will be ok with Wallace. Not great but I think he will still be flex worthy. The only other option there I would swap him for would be Miller. Toss up really but I think I would stick with Jordy.

  8. Steve C. says:

Need some WR Advice PPR right now have Dez, DJax, Amendola, Mike Floyd. With Dez and DJax having bye weeks coming . I wondering about dropping Floyd for Roddy White? I like Roddy but still not sure with the extent of his injury how much of upgrade he’d be over Floyd? Thanx for Your opinion

    • Jeff says:

It sounds like he is going to play this week against Seattle so I think its worth the gamble to cut Floyd for him. If he is back and productive, it could be a nice addition for the stretch run. Risky, but I’d do it.

  9. Stefan says:

    Thanks for the rankings!

In a PPR league, how do you rank Stacy, Ridley, and Morris for ROS?
Also would you move Josh Gordon (bye week) for Jeffery?

  10. John says:

I’m starting Garçon and Reed and have to pick between Wilson and RG3 at qb. Double down with RG3 or spread out the risk with Wilson? I think RG3 is a much stronger play, but a low scoring game would lose my matchlock Friday morning.

    • Jeff says:

Im a gamblin man myself so I would roll with the Washington crew. Its a solid matchup so hopefully they give you a good start.

  11. Dan says:

I got two QBs: Rivers and Cam. Injuries are killing me and need a TE. Would you deal one of them for Jordan Reed and Ryan Mathews?

  12. RK says:

    Thanks Jeff!
Here’s another one – in a PPR – a ankle-gimpy Julius Thomas (@ SD which has been tough on TE’s) – or Tim Wright in a plus match up vs MIA?

    • Jeff says:

I would stay up on the news regarding Thomas this weekend but if he sounds healthy I would roll with him. If he is still reportedly limping around go with Wright. I just have a hard time benching anyone from Denver’s offense if theyre active

  13. RK says:

PPR – I’m starting AJGreen and Keenan at WR1 and WR2. At Flex – would you start Fitz (vsHOU), TY (vsSTL) or TRich (vsSTL)? I’m hesitant to sit TY after that monster Wk9!!

  14. Alex Knight says:

Good deal, thanks! I didn’t think much about the fact that Indy will be at home so I’ll reconsider since they’re both still on the wire.

  15. Cam says:

Just traded away my ray rice for Joique and Keenan. Solid move? Thanks.

  16. PootyTang says:

SJax or James Jones in the flex?

    • Jeff says:

Both are rough options this week. I think I would go with Jackson because at least you know he is gonna touch the ball some.

  17. B-REal says:

Who should at WR2 between Kendall Wright, R. Randle, or E. Saunders?

  18. ray says:

Would you trade Murray for Woodhead in a ppr?

  19. ZJG says:

Bye week hell. Need to start one in my Non-PPR. All have good matchups as well… Shonn Green, Donald Brown, Helu Jr. HELPPPppppp

  20. Alex Knight says:

I love these rankings and have found them incredibly useful when I’m on the fence about some decisions.

One thing I’m curious about this week – I stream defenses and currently have Indy from last week (which didn’t turn out so well, haha). My plan was to drop them and roll with Houston against AZ this week. I was surprised to see Houston ranked so low with the monsters they have up front and the pressure that AZ has been giving up all year. Any explanation on the reasoning? Am I better off with Indy?

    • Jeff says:

Thanks, Alex. Glad we have helped!

As far as Houston is concerned, I have them 9th at the moment. I don’t think they are a terrible play this week but I would lean towards Indy at home if I had to pick between the two.
