Week 1 Defensive Field of Streams September 8, 2016  |  adam cook

Hooray, Hooray! After 8 long months we are finally ready for some real football. Lineup setting is in full force, and productive Sundays have come to an end. We will start off with some DFS chalk and get into the good stuff later on. We are going to stick with bullet points to make it easier to read on the eyes. Cheers and good luck in Week 1…well, besides my opponents.

Chalk Em’ Up

Seattle Seahawks vs. Miami: 100% owned in Yahoo leagues ($3,900 on DraftKings)

Arizona Cardinals vs. New England: 99% owned ($3,500)

Houston Texans vs Chicago: 96% owned ($3,200)

Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Diego: 95% owned ($3,600)

Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco: 94% owned ($3,800)

Stream Em’ Up

Green Bay Packers @ Jacksonville: 49% owned in Yahoo leagues ($2,800 on DraftKings)

**I’m not quite buying into Blake Bortles as a quality QB. He had his fair share of struggles in the dress rehearsal versus Cincinnati.

**The fact they are moving Clay Matthews back outside is severely underrated and will greatly improve the pass rush.

**The Jags’ offensive line is weak, and I cant see the tackles dealing with Matthews and Peppers off the edge.

**Bortles has a long wind up in his throwing motion that allows the defensive backs to take calculated gambles.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles: 29% owned ($3,100)

**The strength of the San Francisco defense is in their front 7. Will Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner and Todd Gurley neutralize NaVorro Bowman?

**Their weakness is in the secondary, but that matches up well with the Rams’ weak sauce passing game.

**It’s Chip Kelly’s 1st game, and tenures typically start with a bang

**They are playing their 1st game of year at home on a Monday night. Can’t be more pumped for a game than this.

**Most Key Point- Rams’ Hard Knocks Hangover Narrative?

Cleveland Browns @ Philadelphia: 1% owned ($2,300)

**It is Carson Wentz’ 1st career start…with no preseason. True sleeper potential here.

**The Browns defense isn’t a world beater, but no Eagle skill players really scare me.

**I am more worried about Sproles returning a touchdown.

**The addition of Emmanuel Ogbah should assist the pass rush, and an improved Danny Shelton should help shutdown the run game.

**If you want to save money and load up at wide receiver in DFS, CLE is a perfect cheap punt option at only $2,300 on Draft Kings.

The Curious Case of Darren Sproles

Mock Draft In Minutes with the Mock Draft Simulator! It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when Darren Sproles became forsaken by the fantasy football world.  No matter the exact moment, when draft season rolls around every year, people magically forget that he is a high-performance Tank and drop him off at the scrap yard to rust. People ...

Fantasy Equity Scores: The ‘Why Not’ Tight End Candidates

Many tight ends taken in the waning rounds of a fantasy draft will fly off and on the waiver wire as tight end streamers devolve into climbing-on-the-walls tilt, desperate for a streamer, begging any deity to grant them sweet, sweet clarity. That doesn’t mean that this tight end tier should ...
