Neil’s 2013 Fantasy RB Rankings
June 11, 2013 | Neil Parker
After kicking off my QB Rankings last week, it is time to add the other backs to the mix, so here are my 2013 fantasy RB Rankings. I address these backs quite differently though, basically, it is an early and often approach.
In fact, I typically have 3 running backs before the beginning of round 6. I only diverted from this path once and it was a disaster. The worst fake football team I’ve ever had, yet somehow, I got that mess within 1 game of the playoffs.
You likely cannot have too many running backs on your bench either, so grab handcuffs, both for your own players and other team’s players.
Look for upside picks within running back committees and be ready to stash a few backups too. You never quite know when the 2013 Bryce Brown or Knowshon Moreno might get the chance to win you a weekly matchup or two.
There are all kinds of questions out there right now too, which when, or if ever, answered fully will greatly impact these rankings in the future.
Who wins the starting job in Green Bay, St. Louis and Arizona?
How many touches will Fred Jackson, Bernard Pierce and Ben Tate get?
How will the Giants, Panthers and Saints spread their carries around?
Can Darren McFadden and Ryan Mathews live up to their former hype and high-end potential?
Are Maurice Jones-Drew, Frank Gore and Chris Johnson able to get back to being first round talents?
Can rookies Giovani Bernard and Montee Ball take the number one role in Cincinnati and Denver?
Isn’t fake football fantastic? So how about we get to my 2013 Fantasy RB Rankings!
