Fantasy Football Rankings: Week 7 Ranksauce October 18, 2012  |  gregsauce

Six teams on bye means we’re looking at three games fewer than a full slate of NFL contests in Week 7. To be fair, it’s not like many of us will really be missing Miami, Kansas City, or San Diego, particularly when it comes to filling our quarterback spots. Still, desperate times can call for desperate measures in the fake football universe and the Week 7 Ranksauce is here to guide your hyperspace jump into the win column. It’s not like dusting crops, kid. Without precise calculations you could fly right through a James Starks, or bounce too close to a Shanahan and that’d end your trip real quick, wouldn’t it? May the Sauce be with you.

Also in a 10 team +1 PPR, I have too many good choices for 2 FLEX spots…

James Jones @ STL, Felix Jones @ CAR, Lance Moore @ TB, Brandon Gibson vs GB, and William Powell @ MIN. Moore seems the lowest from your rankings, but would you give him a bump if Graham is out this Sunday? Which 2 would you pick as of now?

    • gregsauce says:

With Greg Jennings and DeMarco Murray out this week, I would go with Felix Jones and James Jones, no matter the status of Jimmy Graham. As an aside, I really like Gibson in PPR this week, as the Rams should be throwing a lot to keep up with Green Bay. I would start him over Moore if you didn’t have two better flex options in the Joneses. Powell is a stay-away against a stout Vikings run defense.

Flex Ballard, Alex Green, or throw Chandler in there?

  3. LakerSteve says:

Sauceman – 1pt PPR – I need a #2 RB this week. I’ve got LeShoure, AGreen, and DRichardson on my roster, but I don’t love any of them. It appears Bradshaw may be out or limited on Sun. Should I go with one of my guys (you’ve got LeShoure ranked highest) or maybe drop DRich for Andre Brown or perhaps even Dwyer? And, might it be better to own Andre instead of DRich anyway? Thanks in advance.

    • gregsauce says:

As the Bradshaw owner, you should drop Richardson for Brown regardless of who you start. For this week, if Bradshaw is out, I would use Brown; otherwise, I would use LeShoure.

    • LakerSteve says:

Thanks – Sorry, that was confusing. I don’t own Bradshaw. I was just thinking that Brown was so good the couple of times he started in place of Bradshaw that I should grab him before the Bradshaw owner does. However, it will come at the cost of AGreen or DRich.

    • gregsauce says:

I still might make the switch from Richardson to Brown if you need RB help just for this week. Brown has a lot of upside in this week’s match-up if Bradshaw is out.
