Looking to get in a low stakes head to head this week? Join me at and send me an invite. My player name is fantasy_schnerd. I would be glad to hand you my hard earned money each week, but not really. Injuries were all over the place this week and those injuries opened the door for a few cheap running back options. Let’s dive in to my favorite plays this week! Join me for this week’s free roll over at and let me know if you like the site. If you like playing daily fantasy football, go check out!

Top Play

Aaron Rodgers- Green Bay Packers- $8300

I’m still amazed that Rodgers is priced below Luck, Stafford, and Peyton (@SEA). He tore up the Jets secondary last week and gets another weak secondary in the Detroit Lions. The game will also be in a dome, meaning weather won’t be a factor at all. There is clear shootout potential in this game and Rodgers will be a mainstay in my lineups this week.

Top Value Play

Kirk Cousins- Washington Redskins- $5700

I expect Cousins to be heavily owned by those owners who want to stockpile their running backs or wide receivers. Cousins entered the game last week after RG3 got injured and produced 250 yards passing with 2 touchdowns. Those numbers alone would provide great value at his current price. The Redskins will have to throw the ball plenty of times to keep pace with the high powered Eagles offense. I’m looking for multiple touchdowns from Captain Kirk in week 3.

Running Backs

Top Play

DeMarco Murray- Dallas Cowboys- $7300

Murray leads the entire NFL in rushing yardage and has been heavily game planned for by Scott Linehan as Tony Romo doesn’t seem right. The Cowboys possess a studly offensive line and the Rams front 7 got gashed by Bobby Rainey last week. 100 yards rushing and a red zone touchdown are nearly a lock.

Top Value Play

Darren Sproles- Philadelphia Eagles- $4700

Sproles has scored in both weeks of the young NFL season and yet his price has not cracked $5000 yet. More power to you! Being able to get a point per reception is huge for Sproles as he is a weapon in the passing game. He is averaging 5.5 receptions per game and 15.1 yards per reception. The opposing Redskins defense has been stout thus far, but they haven’t faced the daunting Eagles offense yet.

Wide Receivers

Top Play

Mike Wallace- Miami Dolphins- $6200

Wallace has looked awesome in Bill Lazur’s new up-tempo offense as he has scored touchdowns each week so far. Here is expecting him to make that 3 straight weeks. Wallace is the true No. 1 in this Miami offense and Tannehill has been looking his way early and often. This is the breakout year we were all expecting when he first signed with Miami. Play and enjoy!

Top Value Play

DeSean Jackson- Washington Redskins- $3200

This is the ultimate revenge game play as DeSean is returning to the place he called home for his entire NFL career prior to this season. A lot of Eagles players were questioning why he was released this offseason and I am looking for D-Jax to prove them wrong for doing so in week 3. He got banged up last week, but there is no way he is not suiting up this week. Make sure you check his status prior to kickoff though.

Tight Ends

Top Play

Jimmy Graham- New Orleans Saints- $7900

Graham is $1,900 more than the next highest tight end, but I believe he is absolutely worth it. I am looking for the Saints passing game to shred the Vikings in their 1st home game of the 2014 season. Graham is averaging 26.5 FPPG so far and that even includes a game where he didn’t score a touchdown. He is about as safe as a bet for a multi-touchdown game as anyone.

Top Value Play

Jared Cook- St. Louis Rams- $3400

Any tight end against the Dallas Cowboys is a great option in fantasy football. They have already allowed 2 touchdowns to Vernon Davis and 142 yards to Delanie Walker this year. Austin Davis has not been terrible as the starting quarterback this year and Cook has averaged 6 targets per game. I love Cook as a cheap play this Sunday.

Team Defenses

Top Plays

New England Patriots- $4100

The Patriots defense dominated a poor Vikings offense without Adrian Peterson and this week they get a west coast Raiders team at home. I like the odds of Bill Belichick versus a rookie quarterback in Derek Carr. Any west coast team having to play at 1:00 p.m. on the east coast is a good streaming option to target. This defense is worth the extra dollar this week.

Cincinnati Bengals- $3900

Jake Locker and the Titans offense looked terrible at home versus Dallas last week and they have to go on the road versus the Bengals this week. Not to mention that Cincinnati possesses one of the best defenses in the entire league! The Titans are void of playmakers at the skill positions and they don’t have any running back that possesses a threat. I like the Bengals chances of keeping Tennessee under 14 points scored this week.
