Week 14 NFL Picks
December 8, 2012 | Neil Parker
Sometimes you miss, and sometimes you Week 13 it. It can only go up from that debacle. Here are my week 14 NFL Picks:
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers
The Falcons are getting close to locking down the conference. They have taken care of business with an ever improving and opportunistic defense, and the Panthers are atrocious on that side of the ball. Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense has had extra rest and time to prepare. 12-1 is less than 24 hours away.
Falcons cover, and win by at least 4.
Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns
I’m rolling along with the Browns again this week. They’re going to extend their winning streak to 3 games, and despite the Chiefs feel good win last week, they’re not in Kansas anymore. The spread is big, and the Chiefs may still be feisty enough to keep it a football game, but they can’t win. The AFC North is going to be a great battleground next season.
Browns sneak it out by a field goal.
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
Don’t look now, but the Colts have ran off with 6 ‘Dub-a-youus’ in their last 7 games, including a 6 point win in Tennessee. Divisional games can always be close, but the Titans have little to play for and the Colts are locked into a tight playoff race. This could be a close game, but the Colts are going to win.
Luck and the Colts by 4.
Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Eagles cannot beat good football teams, in fact they cannot beat bad football teams, in fact they haven’t won since Week 4. Tampa isn’t rolling like they were, but the Falcons and Broncos will do that to you. Regardless, they’ve got the offensive weapons to expose the Eagles, extend their losing streak and end their own. Muscle Hamster Time anyone?
Bucs by a TD.
Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49’ers
The Giants and Rams aside, teams heading into San Fran have had issues. Miami has a long trip against an angry and motivated team. The spread is up there, but the Dolphins are a middle of the road team at best, and the on the job training program is going to get real for Ryan Tannehill this week. Lastly, Vernon Davis will reward a fantasy start this week.
Niners statement win by at least 10.
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
The spread is getting high in this divisional contest. The Cardinals cannot win the game, but they could keep it reasonable. They still boast a good defense, and the Seahawks have shown all year they’re capable of stuttering on offense. With that being said, I’m not buying my own spin, because Seattle is really good at football in all three phases.
Seahawks by 10.
