I couldn’t really say that I gave Jeff a beating this week from the score but it was an easy win to start off the year for me. Philip Rivers had so many doubters to start of the season and will carry them until Ryan Matthews comes in and changes things for him. Wes Welker is seeing a reduced role to start of the season which I personally don’t think will continue, he had a grand total of 1 fantasy point. Greg Little had 0 and the Bills Def didn’t show up and got massacred by the Jets in week 1. Matt Ryan blew up the Chiefs secondary with an outstanding showing and Ray Rice lives up to his name, once again.

We had a few nail-biters already in week 1 and this is the first of them. I think this could’ve gone either way, for everyone who watched one of the most awful Monday Night Football games last week, you’d easily know how Janikowski could’ve scored a couple more FG’s which would put Mike and Asher ahead of Chet in week 1. I’m pretty sure the guys know it too. A lot of these players hit the mark though, Romo and Manning both played well and surprisingly the Patriots edged the Texans D by a point. With match ups like these, each point counts! What could’ve been the x-factor here would’ve been C.J. Spiller, who was found at the end of the duo’s bench. He scored 22 FPTS in week 1 which would’ve completely killed Chet’s 98 but they put him behind Mark Ingram, I’m sure they won’t make the same mistake in week 2.

Another nail biter in the books! The Mob took on Mike Baum and did get the best of him in week 1. Julio Jones’ monster game wasn’t enough for Mike to put his team up and over, and of course, Vick’s 4 picks didn’t help as well. I’d say Calvin Johnson’s 11 is an off-night and Victor Cruz’s 3 drops would’ve made a difference in this game. If things went differently, and if the 49er’s made maybe, 2 more sacks. @thenotoriousmob would be kicking himself for sitting Adrian Peterson in week 1. He was a monster on the bench, I don’t know about you Mob, but Benson against the 49ers don’t sound too enticing to me. And yes, Matt Bryant went on a kicking spree.

Denny gets the better of Greg in week 1 match ups. I can’t really blame Greg for playing Chris Johnson ahead of Kevin Smith. I mean who would’ve thought Chris Johnson would suck.. again? I’m also a Johnson owner in a league and it’s very sad that Kevin Smith had a +16 differential which would’ve busted this game open for Greg. It was a balanced scoring attack for Mr. Carter though as we see double figures across the board except a couple. I think if Carter plays the right players who score just enough points, it will be hard to beat him in any week. He has a very deep bench and had the only team to eclipse the 100 FPTs mark and could easily do so again in weeks to follow.

Correct me if I’m wrong Scott, but you squeezed one out here! It was an off night for both quarterbacks with Cam going only for 14 and Brady for 17. Darren McFadden was tired at the half and Justin Tucker and the Ravens went on to score 44, I guess that was enough to win the match up. Kevin had all sorts of voodoo bad luck going on starting from his RB’s. Turner scored 3 FPTs in a game where the Falcons scored 40, DeAngelo Williams had 1 rushing yard total. On to Greg Jennings who got shut down by the 49ers D and scored 3 FPTs on 34 yards receiving. If that’s not enough, the lone bright spot on Greg’s team, Pierre Garcon had to leave the game short after his 88-yard receiving touch down.

We all hate injuries to our starters especially in week 1 games. Fred Jackson might’ve done as well as C.J. Spiller if he didn’t get injured, or I may be wrong, nonetheless it sucks. Despite the Jets and Akers having monster nights it wasn’t enough to out do Max and his MJD-less line up. Max made a very good decision in sitting MJD in week 1, with talks of him not getting the start and Rashad Jennings playing well, it all worked out. I’m pretty sure that’s not going to be the case in week 2 though. Donald Brown, meet Max’s bench. It was also an off-night for Stafford throwing 3 picks to a bolstered Rams secondary? It wasn’t the best showing for him and he’ll have an even harder time against the 49ers in week 2. Brandon Marshall seemed like they’re ready to exploit secondaries with no good CB’s all day. Max takes our last game and Brice has some holes to fill.
