The Fake Football Reader Leagues: Week 8 November 2, 2012  |  Jeff

The completion of week 8 puts us directly at the half way point of our 16 week fake football season. Before we head into the homestretch of the regular season, lets see how the 28 The Fake Football Reader Leagues are shaping up!

Through eight weeks and 1,344 games across 28 leagues, the weekly team scoring average currently sits at 125.45 points, which has steadily dropped as teams experience bye week issues. We are down to two undefeated squads after week 8,  “Yes that REDZONE,”  and “The Grimiest.” 8-0 is a mighty impressive record, and these two squads have the inside track to some cushy first round byes and a good shot at a league title. At the other end of the spectrum, we just have three teams still searching for that elusive first win. Keep the faith, guys!

In first place in our overall standings through eight weeks is “@ffalphamale,” with 1193.92 points scored, good for a whopping 149.24 points per week. Impressive!

Our weekly congratulations goes out to the “Pots & Pans Robots” from the Fake Football Fishmongers league. The Week 8 High Score Champion won a The Fake Football T-Shirt, after dropping a 180.60 points! Check out this lineup:

Tight End Streaming: Trusting Your Eyes

It’s best sometimes to remove your head from the numerical quicksand that so slyly sucks you down that statistical rabbit hole, where so many fantasy football teams go to die. I’ve become borderline obsessed with the concept of streaming tight ends in 2013, just as we base our team defenses entirely ...
