Defensive Statistics vs QB, RB, WR, TE October 9, 2012  |  Chet

I thought we could take a look at how defenses are stacking up against each offensive position so far this season. It’s always tough to know how much a defense has fallen or improved over the off season, so we’ll follow these numbers over the start of the season to see if we notice any trends.

So far the Seahawks have been playing insane defense against top offenses. I fear them close to as much as the 49ers this season.

These are the numbers we average out to come up with our Matchup Machine and Strength of Schedule, but I thought you might like to see them as is.

Check out the week 1-5 numbers below. Click on the tabs at the bottom to see all the positions.

Lost Ryan Williams (RB3)….who do you think is a better stash in .5ppr. Joique Bell or William Powell? (would drop D.Avery)

Hey Chet one more question. Who from my roster would you drop for Vick Ballard? I did pick up Wilson cutting Hillis.

    Good morning gents,

With the Giants looking to expand David Wilson’s role in the offense who wuold you drop from my roster for him?

QB- Rivers WR- Bowe, Fitz, Decker
RB- Forte, Mathews Flex- SJAX TE- Daniels
    D- Arizona K- Tucker
Bench- A. Luck, Witten, N. Washington, Hillis, Battle, DHB, J. Best
    IR- V. Brown

My gut is telling me Hillis is the cut with the lingering ankle injury and Draughn carving out a role in the KC offense but I’m looking for some feedback. Thanks in advance!

Hey Chet, should I make this offer? My RG3, Murray, Wallace, and Sea def for his Rodgers, BJGE, Julio, and Tony G. He is 1-4 so I’m trying to see if I can get some good players relatively cheap. Is it worth it or should I stand pat?
Starting roster: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, W/R/T
    My team now is:
    QB RG3, Stafford
    RB McFadden, Lynch, Murray, Pierre
WR Jordy, Wallace, Rice, Hartline, Hawkins
    TE Graham
Def Sea, Miami (just picked up for this week)

    SEA-SF backwards again..

  6. Zach Bailey says:

I would trade Dez for any of those players without thinking twice. I find it hard to believe anybody would give you any of those players for Dez.

Dez has topped 100 yards 2x in his overhyped career.

Tight End Streaming: Trusting Your Eyes

It’s best sometimes to remove your head from the numerical quicksand that so slyly sucks you down that statistical rabbit hole, where so many fantasy football teams go to die. I’ve become borderline obsessed with the concept of streaming tight ends in 2013, just as we base our team defenses entirely ...
