Hello All. Here are my rankings for this season. I will try to keep them updated as often as humanly possible. If you need me to update them 10 minutes before your draft, I will take bribes, um, donations in $100 increments.

Hey Chet, not particularly confident about my RB corps (SJax, Gore, Ridley, Benson), so I was thinking about trading for Trent Richardson. I’m feel fairly strong at WR (Megatron, Julio, Britt, Wayne, Collie), and Richardson’s owner is looking for some WR help. It’s a 12-tm, standard league. Think I should make a move, or hold for now? What kind of package would you try to send over if you did make a move?

  2. Jonathan says:

I need to drop either Felix Jones, Austin Collie or Russell Wilson. Ryan is my qb and I have Felix to handcuff Murray. Collie is my wr5. Its a 12 tm, std league. What’ya think?

  3. JonnyG says:

Hey Chet, What do you think about trading Wayne (and Seabass) for Ryan in a 10 tm, .5 ppr? My qb is RG3 and my wr’s are Marshall, Maclin and Decker, with Garcon and Britt on the bench. I also have R. Wilson and Locker on my bench.

  4. AdamH says:

Where does MJD move to now?

  5. LakerSteve says:

Chet, drafted last night in a 10tm PPR (your rankings helped), but waited a bit too long on WRs. Our league is shallow, so I figured I’d grab the next Victor Cruz when one emerges. You think I can get by with the WRs on this roster for a while?

    QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, DEF
QB: Romo (top 4 went in 1st – 6pt TDs and bonuses)
RB: McCoy, DeMarco, T. Richardson (5th rnd!), Ryan Williams
WR: Harvin, Bowe, DHB, Britt, L. Moore, Blackmon, B. Quick (last rnd)
TE: Graham – K: Bailey – DEF: Seattle

On waivers right now: Cobb, Crabtree, Collie, M Floyd, Amendola etc

  6. y4rivera says:

Hey Chet, I traded Roddy and M.Wallace for D.Martin and Jordy. Based off of your rankings I thought it was a steal, but others in the league think I’m crazy making that deal. Was it a steal or has something changed?

  7. B.o.B says:

So I have the 8 spot in a 10 team league. Scoring is 50 yds for passing, 6 pts for a passing TD; 20 yds for rushing, 15 yds for receiving. The bad news for me is I traded away my 4th round pick for this draft, during last season to make a playoff push for *cough* Michael *cough* Vick *cough*…it didn’t work out…

My question is what strategy would you use if you were in my shoes, considering my draft spot, no 4th rounder and our scoring system?

    • Chet says:

I think you stick mainly with a normal strategy. I’d probably go after a QB in the 2nd or 3rd, but I’d want 2 RBS in those rounds as well, since you don’t have a 4th. 5th and on is a dead zone for RBs.

  8. AdamH says:

If you happen to go QB in the first, are you willing to take Matthews as your RB#1? Or would you prefer to go Lynch or Murray?

  9. Randy says:

    Hey Doc.
I’m in a 14 team league. QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, WR/TE.
I’ve been in 10 or 12 teams before and never have played with a WR/TE. My draft strategy is usually take the best available. Should I do that or draft WR’s and/or TE’s earlier than usual?
    Thanks

  10. Robert says:

Hey Chet…in a standard league + return yards (1pt/20yds, 6pt/TD), would you move Darren Sproles, Antonio Brown (assuming he’ll still be the main PR), and Randall Cobb up in your rankings? If so, how much?

  11. iMP says:

    Hey Doc,

In tonights draft, I know I will have at worst a choice of Jones, Welker and an RB from this tier: Richardson, Lynch, Charles, SJax, and Martin going into pick 21 of a 12 team PPR (3WR). My first rounder is Foster (keeper).

Are Jones and/or Welker worth it in Round 2 (with best available RB in round 3) or would you target one of the RBs and follow up with best avail WR (Jennings, Nicks, Marshall, Green or Harvin) in round 3?

    Love your stuff. Thanks!

    • Chet says:

Really depends on if you think Martin may fall, otherwise I’d look to take Lynch. If you think martin falls, going Foster/Jones/Martin is optimal.

    • iMP says:

Thanks for the help. Ended up RBs dropped and QBs were sucked up more than I expected. P Manning and Ryan come off the board in the first two rounds (not a special QB league either) and I ended up making the tough, but happy, choice of Murray over Mathews in R2. Later I ended up with Romo as the last QB I liked left on the board (top standard top 8 + P Manning) were gone by the 4/5 turn and now I realize I have a QB/RB combo from the same team.
How bad is the Romo/Murray combo? Should I try to move Murray (Romo won’t be moveable until the Cowboys show some momentum) or can I sit tight with this conflict of interest combo?

    • iMP says:

Sorry, one other question if you have time.
Would you keep Locker or take Britt on as a WR5 flier. Here is the whole squad:
      Foster/Murray/Hillis/R. Williams
      Jennings/Nicks/Bowe/Young
      Romo/Locker
      V. Davis

  12. Muleque says:

Yeah, I was thinking taking one of those QBs, and aim for Lynch or a Julio Jones maybe falls to me. Shoot for Sproles at 32nd pick (league counts return yards so he’ll finish as the top RB in league).

  13. Muleque says:

Chet, would you trade the #1 pick in a 16 team redraft for his first two picks (9 & 24)?

I was going to take Aaron Rodgers, and in the 9th pick I’d be hoping for the best of Brees/Newton/Stafford. I’m hoping one would be available. QBs go kinda early in this league and I feel it’s important to not be stuck w/ mediocre QB.

  14. Matt Fenster says:

I am in a 12 team non ppr keeper league 2rbs and a flex. My RBS are MJD, Ryan Matthews, Hillis, and Forte. I need to pick someone off waivers because I am not sure about Matthews and MJD for the first couple of weeks so need to pick someone off waivers. The only options I see are Starks (risky with toe)Felix Jones, Hightower or Vereen. Who would you reccomend? Thanks!

  15. THINK MY LEAGUE WILL SEE THIS? says:

Very tough. 10 year old league. Well read guys. Option to keep Gronk for $1 the rest of my life is very enticing. Even a more normal year of 1200 yds and 10 TDs is still dominant.

It’s almost Foster v Calvin because the other two have so much value. RB went as high as $70 last yr and I got a discount on Foster d/t injury concerns. Heck I got value on Calvin too though. Did a good job picking guys from bottom of my tiers.

Still, RB are scarce in this league (all leagues?) especially with guys like Demarco kept at $1. Hate to lose Calvin but need to base it on value right? WR crazy deep so I think you’re right about those mid level guys.

Thanks so much for your time

  16. THINK MY LEAGUE WILL SEE THIS? says:

    Sorry, $200 league, 8 bench

    Important stuff I know

Gonna be hard to let go of Calvin.

  17. THINK MY LEAGUE WILL SEE THIS? says:

Ok u said write to u here instead of tweet right?
12 tm auction keeper non ppr 25yd/6pt 10yd/6pt
    QB 2RB 2WR 2Flex TE K D.

Which 3 do you keep at at last yr price?
    Foster(53) Calvin(38) Julio(7) Gronk(1)

It’s Gronk v Calvin right? choosing former due to WR depth and price?

I do think Gronk will come back to pack with all the NE weapons and laws of statistics. Also concerned about foster/Calvin coming back too. I can email excel of entire league if that helps.
Also have guys like Romo(25) and Tate(1) but figure I can buy them back. Tough decision. Help!

Always enjoy your insight. Much appreciated.

    • Chet says:

Tough call with the cheap price for Gronk. I’d almost drop Calvin and let someone spend 50 on him and stock up on mid range WRs like Brown, Harvin, and Colston.

  18. Herschel says:

PPR, picking at 3 and will grab either McCoy or rice, whoever is there. Who do you like as the better paired RB? Martin, s-jax or Charles?

    Thanks.

  19. herschel says:

    what about updated tiers? thanks.

  20. Herschel says:

@Doc: followed you over here from a past site. Have seen your rankings posted a couple different places. Where is the best place to look for your most updated rankings? Draft is this Sunday….thanks and looking forward to another season.

  21. Bill says:

One year keeper. Should I keep Stafford for a 5th or J Nelson for an 11th?

  22. Key says:

Thinking if Hernandez doesn’t fall to me in my draft I’m gonna wait as long as possible and grab Rudolph and Olsen late and hope one hits. How dumb am I?

  23. adupuis4 says:

    what he said ^^^^

  24. Cole says:

Is there a way to make get a printer friendly version of these ranking?
